Domhnall attended the EE British Academy Film Awards yesterday. He presented the Film Not In The English Language award alongside Carrie Fisher to Hugo Sigman and Damian Szifron (‘Wild Tales’). “Brooklyn” took home the Outstanding British Film, “The Revenant” took home Best Film, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Sound and Best Leading Actor (Leonardo DiCaprio) while “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” took home Special Visual Effects. Domhnall received a 2015 Irish Film Television Academy Nomination Actor in a supporting role in a film for his work in “Frank“. The movie also received nominations for Best Film, Actor in lead role (Michael Fassbender), Director Film (Lenny Abrahamson), Cinematography (James Mather), Editing (Nathan Nugent), Hair & Make-up, and Original Score (Stephen Rennicks). The AFI Awards announced their 2014 honorees/winner and “Unbroken” is named one of the movies of the year.
It’s that time of year again. AFI is honoring the most outstanding films and television programs of the year with AFI AWARDS. The non-competitive AFI AWARDS acknowledge the collaborative nature of film and TV production, bringing the community’s creative teams together in a unique celebration of their work.
This year’s list includes 10 television programs and, for the first time in AFI AWARDS history, 11 motion pictures. The 2014 honorees deemed by AFI’s Jury to be culturally and artistically representative of the year’s most significant achievements are:

The National Board Of Reviews announced their winners today and “Unbroken” is named one of their ‘Top Films’. Domhnall’s co-star Jack O’Connell received an award for Breakthrough Performance.
The National Board of Review has named A MOST VIOLENT YEAR the 2014 Best Film of the Year. 2014 Gala to be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 hosted by Lara Spencer.
